Hello and welcome to my website,
The launch of 'Smokestacks and Sails' was a very special event. The Mayor of the Copper Coast, Mr Paul Thomas, introduced the book to the students, staff and friends gathered at Wallaroo Primary during the Kernewek Lowender. It was a most appropriate setting for the book which is set during the early days of the port of Wallaroo and the main character attends the school as it was back then. I had a wonderful day and send my special thanks to those at the school who helped it all happen.
Recently I visited some Year 3 classes at Kadina Primary School where the girls and boys have been reading my books as an introduction to their work on local history. They had some great questions and I really enjoyed my visit. I am looking forward to my next trip which is a visit to Pt Pirie Library on September 16th.
